SGP Pomgrad Group have performed well this year

The SGP Pomgrad Group, which is one of the largest construction groups in Slovenia and founding member of the Slovenian construction holding company, today presented an assessment of its operating results for 2008 and its business plans for the coming year. SGP Pomgrad’s Managing Director Tadej Ružič gave details of some of the most important features of the company’s operations this year.
The SGP Pomgrad Group will finish the financial year with consolidated income of at least EUR 120 million. This year it founded a subsidiary company, SGP Pomgrad - Nepremičnine d.o.o., which is already engaged in all phases of construction engineering, including land purchase, project planning and construction, for the purpose of selling and renting flats and business premises. Tadej Ružič pointed out that the Group carried out 10% more ‘low-rise’ than ‘high-rise’ construction work over the year; as in the previous year, he attributed this to the work carried out by the Group on construction of the Pomurje motorway section. SGP Pomgrad’s contribution to construction of the section was 15% and its contribution to the supply of materials (comprised mainly of asphalt in 2008) was over 70%. The Group emphasised the strong sale of reinforced concrete structures and the continuation of ecological projects throughout Slovenia. In 2009 the Group is planning consolidated income of EUR 110 million and investments of over EUR 5.5 million.
The Group intends to fulfil its plans by engaging partners for all major projects, particularly in the ecological field, and to collaborate in acquiring works through GH Holding and the implementation of its own investment projects.
